In case you hadn’t heard, New England Patriots TE/WR Aaron Hernandez is the center of an ongoing murder investigation by the Massachusetts PD. Click here for more details regarding what’s currently going on. First, as a Pats fan, I would like to start the #freehernandez movement (despite the fact that I hate hashtags and partially blame them for the dumbing down of our current national dialogue).
If you read the article, I believe the facts really only point to 3 possible outcomes:
1) He was complicit / an active participant in the murder
2) He vaguely knew of some shady shit going down but was intelligent enough to keep his distance.
3) He really had no idea what was going on and was just trying to help his friends out after doing hoodrat things.
Honestly, I hope it it #3, but I doubt it. The only way I can rationalize #3 with the current evidence (smashed phone & security system, hiring of cleaners) is that he took these measures to hide his obvious weed habit. (I refer to him as SweetLeaf ~75% of the time and Weed is the only reason he is on the Pats).
However, theres a new tweet suggesting neighbors heard gunfire and the Police have surveillance of Hernandez returning home “shortly” after the reported gunfire. If this is true, he’s pretty fucked. At this point I hope the situation is some mix of #1 and #2, and that Hernandez just gives up on his boys. Turtle is supposed to take the fall for Vince, not the other way around.
Either way Hernandez is a dumbass. The dude just got PAID, yet still cant avoid doing hoodrat things (drug deals, murders, shooting peoples’ eyes out) with his obviously hoodrat friends. As always, the message to take away from this story is TG4TB (Thank God 4 Tom Brady). Things like just make you realize why he’s literally the perfect/model pro athlete. As long as Hernandez doesn’t cause Jamie Lannister and Brady to have more in common then their stunning good looks, the Pats will be fine. As always.

(PS: My prediction for all this- He somehow gets off with a BS charge(s) such as obstruction of justice and only serves 4 game suspension because Roger Goodell fancies himself a true arbiter of justice).
